Amelia Muir, NP
Located conveniently in the heart of Williamsburg, Amelia provides psychotherapy and medication management to children, adolescents, and adults. Her approach involves an integrated style that blends elements of psychoanalysis, trauma-informed care, attachment theory, and mindfulness to assist you through life’s difficulties.
As a nurse practitioner, she also focuses on how aspects of your physical health may be impacting your emotional health. She believes in nurturing healthy eating, sleep, creative outlets, and movement to bolster a person’s internal resources.
Each individual requires a unique approach but her overall style is warm, collaborative, and relational. Amelia received my masters in Psychiatric Nursing from New York University. She has post-graduate training from the William Alanson White Institute and the Academy of Clinical and Applied Psychoanalysis (ACAP). Additionally, she holds a graduate level Adjunct Professor position at NYU Rory Meyers College of Nursing and has been published in Case Study Approach to Psychotherapy for Advanced Practice Psychiatric Nurses (2020).
