Located conveniently in the heart of Williamsburg, Amelia Muir
provides psychotherapy and medication management to children, adolescents, and adults. Her approach involves an integrated style that blends elements of psychoanalysis, trauma-informed care, attachment theory, and mindfulness to assist you through life’s difficulties.
As a nurse practitioner dedicated to holistic care, she also focuses on how aspects of your physical health may be impacting your emotional health. She believes in nurturing healthy eating, sleep, creative outlets, and movement to bolster a person’s internal resources. Amelia deeply believes in the importance of the therapeutic relationship in healing.

Each individual requires a unique approach but her overall style is warm, collaborative, and relational. Amelia received her masters in Psychiatric Nursing from New York University. She has post-graduate training from the William Alanson White Institute, the Polaris Insight Center in ketamine-assisted psychotherapy and the Academy of Clinical and Applied Psychoanalysis (ACAP). Additionally, she holds a graduate level Adjunct Professor position at NYU Rory Meyers College of Nursing and has been published in Case Study Approach to Psychotherapy for Advanced Practice Psychiatric Nurses (2020).
